Group Supported Employment plan at Track House Life includes hands on job training while on the job. Work opportunities for each individual include several employment opportunities such as landscaping, janitorial, maintenance, retail stores, custodial restaurants, assembly work and mobile work crews in a community setting. Each consumer will receive the specific assistance needed to maintain successfully employment. This assistance will include any preparation towards employment and maintaining employment in the public setting. A consumer integrated into a public setting will display appropriate social behaviors prior to entering into Group Supported Employment. Once the consumer shows the capacity to participate in community a work situation the process of Job training will begin. The suitable work situation will be reviewed and assessed by Job coach. The consumer will assist with the selection of work situation and deciding what work environment they feel best for them. Consumer will be oriented into the work situation and informed of the health and safety aspects of the job as well as identifying support services needed to assist the consumer. Each consumer will learn positive employment related habits; such as attitudes, work etiquette and be informed of the formal and informal culture of the work place. Supportive services will available by the job coach working with the consumer at the work site. Monitoring the consumer's performance will include job coaching and continued support during the working hours. The job coach will assist consumer in learning the expectations of the job and performing the task with the consumer until learned. ollow up support will be ongoing to enhance skills in communication and interactions with the public and peers. The Job Coach will also participate in the ISP process for each individual designated for individual supported employment.
Our Support Aid Service at Track House Life works together with our other employment support services, such as CBE, GSE, ISE or individualized employment community. Consumers needing additional assistance to maintain employment in the community will qualify for ESA programming. Additional Support Aid will include, personal care services, behavioral supports and one on one coaching needed to maintain employment in the community. Consumers designated for additional support services, ESA will be assigned one staff member to assist in accomplishing any specific tasks that will enhance employability as a goal. One on one staff support includes: assistance on the job, by shadowing the consumer to maintain positive behaviors, assisting in resolving behaviors that interfere with work performance, as well as, training in personal care needs, and life concerns that may be a barrier when in the community or at the work site. The Job coach will use techniques described in the consumers Behavior Plan and ISP developed by the consumers team to help the consumer stabilize their behaviors in the work place.

A consumer integrated into a public setting will display appropriate social behaviors prior to entering into individual supported employment. Once the consumer shows the capacity to participate in the community work situation the process of job development will begin. Our Job specialist will begin the process of job development with the consumer analyzing, identifying strengths, barriers and general job related skills needed for a particular work situation. The consumer will assist with the job development process and deciding what work environment they feel is best for them. This includes job search, creating job history, resume writing, and preparing for interviews. Job developing specialist will accompany the consumer to interviews if needed. While securing job placement the consumer will be oriented to the work situation and informed of the health and safety aspects of the job as well as identifying support services needed to assist the consumer. Each consumer will learn positive employment related habits; such as attitudes, work etiquette and be informed of the formal and informal culture of the work place. Supportive services will continue once consumer is place in the right work setting. Monitoring the consumer's performance will include job coaching for the first day of employment. The job coach will assist consumer in learning the expectations of the job and performing the task with the consumer until learned if needed. Follow up support will be ongoing to enhance skills with communication and interactions with supervisors, co-workers and the public. The Job Coach will continue to communicate with employers to resolve issues and concerns. The Job Coach will insure that the employer and co-workers are aware of the abilities and limitations of the consumer doing their job. Job Coach will also participate in the ISP process for each individual designated for individual supported employment.
